For each of the missions a variety of tools are available to use like colored rice, poisoned rice, flaming arrows, mines, and healing potions. All of the missions require you to sneak around an environment and kill specific targets. Since attacking head-on will result in an untimely demise, you need to avoid the guards if at all possible. If there is a guard that refuses to get out of the way, there are several options: use the grappling hook and sneak around on the rooftops, leave a poisoned rice treat for him, or just get behind him and slit his throat.
